Our Story
We’re a team of former U.S. State Department interns who came together around a shared commitment to human rights and environmental justice. While researching threats to environmental defenders around the world, we saw a clear need for better data tools and visualization in the organizational space. That’s why we founded BorderLine—to offer tailored GIS services, analytical support, and database management to NGOs working to protect vulnerable people and environments. We combine technical expertise with our firsthand policy insight to help mission-driven organizations make smarter, data-informed decisions.
We believe that clear and transparent data can empower great work. Using our backgrounds in research, policy, and tech, we bring a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every project.
